50th Post!

Since the Brandi Bare kickstarter is still going strong, I thought I'd post a couple more pieces here:

This is from the 'Making Of' comic that all backers will be receiving with the regular comics:
Inked Original art is on the left, Digital colors are on the right.

and this is a few select shots from recent pages. just for fun :) (without giving away any spoilers)

49th Post!

Some new art that's a part of my Brandi Bare Kickstarter project. (don't know what that is? take a look here!)

First one is my statement towards helping with water conservation. yup. I'm all about public service messages. :)
The 2nd piece was heavily inspired by the shows Game of Thrones (just finished season 1...onto season 2) and Vikings (new show on History Channel). I really enjoy stuff like this but rarely get a chance to work it into my art. So I decided to have some fun with this one and dress them all up like warriors...though trying to keep their attitudes the same from the comics. :)

everyone that pledges $25 or more gets these prints (and one more I'm still working on) included with the comics!

Hope you enjoy this sneak peek...if you like it consider supporting the Kickstarter for issue 3. Thanks!

Commissions!

here's a couple recently finished commissions. both were watercolor on 9"x12" watercolor paper.

first up Scarlett and Baroness from G.I. Joe. (I've been a gi joe fan since I was a kid, so I always enjoy drawing these girls.)

and a couple progress pics:
starting with the digital sketch

then pencils:
then inks (brown and black faber castell pens)
And another commission...this time Gwen Stacy and Carnage. I've drawn Mary Jane and Venom before but never this combination so it's always great to draw new things:
and a few progress pics (same tools as for baroness/scarlett)

and the first digital sketch was Gwen and Venom. why? because apparently I wasn't paying enough attention. And that's why it's always important  to send progress pics while working on commissions. just to make sure you haven't drawn the wrong character by mistake ;)

here's the fixed up gwen/carnage sketch:
and next up, pencils and inks:
