68th post!

It's only been like 6 months since my last update here. oops! I am creating and posting new art almost weekly though on my Kickstarter campaigns. So if you want to see new art, just check out those campaigns when they're live (once they're over, they only for backers of the projects to see.:))

anyway...here's some new art I've posted there recently:

These were all art rewards that backers of my latest Kickstarter campaign are receiving.

Also a lot of my comics are now available digitally on Comixology!. 4 issues of Brandi Bare and the first issue of Hopeful Spring! Check them out here: comixology.com

60th post!

jeez, long time no update...sorry! :)

finally wrapping up the last bits of my Brandi Bare kickstarter campaign. Haven't posted much for a month or so, but that doesn't mean I haven't been drawing. just a bit behind on keeping up with everything else.

A recent copic marker commission (and the progress shots):
Digital sketch:
 Pencils:
 Inks:
 Copics...
 Finished copics:

And some sketch cards I finished last month that I forgot to post. These were for the Contemporary Pinups Puzzle sets. (longer cards that had 2 artists work on the same card. lots of fun!)
For this set I did 8 cards. the top 4 were drawn by me then sent to artist George Webber to fill in the blank area. The next pic down were the 4 cards George drew first that were then sent to me to draw on the area he left blank.

 Enjoy!

57th Post!

Back home from Heroes Con and rested a bit. Thought I'd post a few of the convention sketches I remembered to take pictures of.  (though there's always a bunch I forget about).

Copic Marker sketch cover of Batgirl
Retro Rocket girl...so I put Brandi in there :). copic markers (watercolor background)
Jun from Gatchaman. Drawn by Gene Gonzales, colored by me. First official commission where I did the coloring on someone else's drawing. Very cool! (copics/watercolor background)
 Poison Ivy, watercolor
 Powergirl, copics (watercolor background)
Teen Titan girl (whose name I can't remember :)) copics in a sketchbook
Golden Age Wonder Woman (copics/watercolor background)

Thanks again to everyone that stopped by and got sketches, picked up books or just chatted. Heroes is always the friendliest convention. it's always great to see everyone there. :)

and a piece with the golden age Catwoman and the 90's Catwoman. (9x12)
and a few of the main character "Jenny" from the Ultimate 7 comic:

(All 4 Jenny watercolors were 9x12 and using costumes from various scenes in the story.)

21st Post!

Thought I'd post some new art...

first up a couple commissions...

Princess Jun from Gatchaman (first time drawing her)
and John Carters' gal Dejah Thoris....
Both were on 11"x17" bristol, using Copic Markers and watercolors.

and here's a preview of my cards for Bad Axe Studios 'Bombshells: Women of War' sketch card set.
Not sure when they'll be out, but I'll post the rest when I can. Enjoy for now :)

11th Post!

A couple more Heroes Con commissions...
Power Girl...the only inked piece I did at the show and I must admit I had fun with it. I'd like to do more inked pieces some day. Ink 11x17

Psi Judge Anderson. I love the Judge Dredd universe. I used to read 2000 A.D all the time (well, depending on who did the art usually). But this was the first time I've drawn Judge Anderson. (bigger than normal chest was requested ;)) Copic Markers 11x17
Wonder Woman in her regular costume. watercolor 9x12
And a nurse...I actually started this before Heroes Con just for fun, then once the con started never had a chance to get back to it. finally finished it up at home. Copics 11x17

10th post!

Back from Heroes Con and thought I'd post a few photos I took of some of the commissions I did this weekend.

Thanks to everyone that stopped by the table to chat, get sketches, look at art or just in general creeped me out :).

and thanks to Gene Gonzales for driving us to Charlotte and back and for introducing me to Bojangles and their Bo' Berry biscuits. If i ever have to choose a last meal, it's gonna be those for sure!

anyway, onto some art... :)
Marvel's X-23 (for Jarryd)
DC's Scarecrow (for Doug)...and yes, it was fun to draw something a little different this time :)

and Dean Yeagle's Mandy (for John.)

all of these were done in watercolor. I'll post a few more through out the week, some with copics, ink, etc...

oh, and here's a progress shot from the 9th post (supergirl and batgirl) that was for the Heroes Con Auction.

it was great seeing everyone at the show!
