I've been slow on the updates lately...sorry! The Brandi Bare kickstarter project has kept me busy lately.

Here's some new art that I've finished up for it.

Color versions of the postcard sets I created for the backers of the project.

See the earlier posts for the pencil versions of them. (These were colored in Photoshop and Painter.)

Happy New Year!

when I woke up this morning I thought 'What's the first drawing of 2013 gonna be?' and I realized I hadn't done any holiday themed pieces this year (since last New Years). So I figured I'd continue the trend I started last year with these girls.

I wanted to draw a cute viking warrior...because I'm sure they must've existed, right?
9x12 acrylics (because I was in the mood)

Since it's getting near Halloween and because of the start of the 3rd season of The Walking Dead on AMC, I've got zombies on the brain. :)

here's the finished results with copic markers...
 

 

Now back to the beginning with the initial sketch in Photoshop...kind of knew what I wanted, so just a quick rough sketch.

 Then I cleaned it up in Photoshop with a tighter second pass

 Which I then printed out and lightboxed onto 9x12 bristol and then finished with col-erase pencils.

There might be a few more zombie pinup girls showing up  before the end of the month...we'll see.

I've had this sketch sitting on my hard drive for a little while, so I decided to finish it up today.

Started my usual way, digital sketch in photoshop...

which was then printed out and using my lightbox, traced onto 9x12 bristol paper with col-erase pencils...

Then colored with copic markers....

15th Post!

Thought I'd post some of the process for making this Cowgirl pinup.

Started with just a couple random sketches with a blue col-erase pencil on copy paper.

Scanned the sketches and drew up a cleaner version in photoshop.

Flipped the art and printed it out and traced onto 9x12 bristol paper with red (and blue) col-erase pencils.

Then added Copic Markers.

Decided to just render the skin tones (and hair) on this one. It's a look I've wanted to try for a while, but would usually get so wrapped up in the coloring that I'd be halfway finished before remembering :).

Since it's San Diego Comic Con time, I saw that Zenescope's Swimsuit issue is being offered for sale. So I figure I should be able to post this. I was asked to do a pinup with their version of Tinkerbelle.
